Further Development of Silicone Simulation
Development has no End
Analysis of Shrinkage and Warping Effects during the Vulcaniztion Process
We've been working with the company SigmaSoft for many years, a leading provider of silicone simulation solutions. Building on this long-standing partnership, we are part of a SigmaSoft-led working group together with several other companies from the silicone processing industry. The aim of this working group is to continuously deepen and further develop simulation technology for the silicone injection molding process. All participants benefit from practical discussions, real application examples, and shared experience.
Our colleagues Christine, Jörn, and Lukas from the Design Engineering department are actively involved, contributing their practical experience directly to the further development of the simulation.
The focus of this joint task lies on the analysis of shrinkage and warping effects during the vulcanization process, taking into account all relevant injection molding process parameters. These effects are critical for the silicone part quality and are intended to be simulatable. This will enable the potential defects to be identified at an earlier stage, development process to be optimized and thus the Time-to-Market to be shortened.
Gesprochen wird über die Motivation nach Mikrometern zu suchen, effiziente Produktionsabläufe und warum bei uns in der Nacht Geister das sagen haben.
